Trying To Catch Up

I'm excited to report that I'm loving my new job! I can finally put to use what I went to college for...accounting :o) My love for accounting started during my sophomore year in high school when I took Mrs. Stringfellow's Accounting class. I'm sure she would be shocked to know that she did inspire me with how much of a pain-in-the-butt I was in high school. All my high school friends know what I'm talking about LOL
I haven't had much time to do many layouts with Nicholas going through physical therapy right now. He's doing MUCH better and should be ready for his last basketball tournament this weekend.
Here are a few layouts that I completed for a couple challenges and Speed Scraps at Scrappity-Do-Dah this month.
The first one is for the Feb 1-15 BirdCage Challenge. I used the kit Wild Thing by Digi Overdose.

My next layout I did for a Speed Scrap. I used Spring Happiness Collab kit by Christie Lemmon Designs & Steel City Scraps.

This layout is for the Feb Nesting Challenge. I used the mini kit Love & XO's by Crystal's Creations.

The next 3 layouts were completed for Speed Scraps at Ginger Scraps during their Ginger Lady Party. They were celebrating their new designers who also won the Will You Be The Next GingerBread Lady contest at Ginger Scraps.
I don't know what exactly it is about speed scraps but I enjoy doing them LOL Must be the challenge and time limit that attracts me :oP

This layout I did during the SS that ShanMarie was hosting. I used bits of the kits ShanMarie designed for the Will You Be the Next GingerBread Lady contest. I also used Dylabel Designs kit Bella's Trinkets which she also entered in the contest.

PhotoCowGirl hosted this Speed Scrap and I used her kit from the contest, Before Prince Charming.

For this layout I used the kit Cherry Chocolate by Growing Pains Scrapped.

This last layout I did for a speed scrap at Stuff To Scrap. I used the kit Going Nanas by Sweet Digi Scraps.

A Day of Good News!

I've been terrible about blogging. I have been having internet connection problems and I have my fingers and toes crossed that it has been fixed. I just wanted to share real quick before I go to bed, that I'm moving on to Round 2 of go DigitalScrapbooking's Supreme Team IX Contest! I'm super excited being the layout I entered was my first LO at GDS. The kit Round 1 contestants had to work with was Sew Chic by Tricia Curtis. I'm looking forward to the next kit I get to work with. Here is what my creative bug produced :o)

I have a few more layouts I need to post. Today has been a day of good news because I also got news that I can hangup my SAHM title for a bit and start my new job tomorrow.

January Challenge Layouts

I have been busy with my kids extra activities and have been neglecting my blog. I have a few new layouts that I have completed for a few challenges at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. This first one is for the January 16-13 BirdCage Challenge. I used Icy Nights Sampler kit provided by Lucie B Designs.

I also participated in the January Brag About It! Brag Book Exchage with Sara Ellis. I used her Kooky Christmas Brag Book Kit and her full Kooky Christmas Kit to creat my 2 brag book pages. She is hosting the February Brag About It! Brag Book Exchange again at Scrappity-Do-Dah.

Here is my son Colten practicing for the talent show they had at school in December. This was the BB page that I submitted. We were only allowed to submit one. I enjoyed working with this kit so much that I did make make others.

Here is Chey opening her Christmas gift. She loves to read books so her dad got her a Kindle. This moment was priceless. I'm glad I was able to capture it :o)

I also participated in my first Speed Scrap at SDD. The kit I used is Love Is In The Air by Bekah_E Designs. I scrapped our family puppy Mr. Spottie in this layout.

Decision about old layouts...

I thought about posting previous layouts that I've made prior to starting this blog but have decided against that idea. New blog, new start, new layouts.

So, here is the first QP that I made for the Quickpage Exchange for January at Scrap Matters. I used Chocolate Frosted Snowflakes by Stolen Moments. I really like the colors in this kit and had fun creating this QP which I have added my 3 monkeys school pictures in.

On Your Mark, Get Set, GO!

I've turned to the darkside LOL I've created a blog for myself. I thought what the heck? I visit enough of them during the day why not? So here is the beginning of my little contribution to the digi scrap world I've become part of. It seems like it has been forever since I've been digi scrapping though looking back at my files, it has just been since September of 2009. If my EHD could talk, it would have its 2 cents to add about my new addiction LOL
So, get comfy, sit back and I hope you enjoy my bits n' pieces that I will be sharing :o)
